Nigerian Air Force visits FBIU, explores Strategic Collaboration

In a major step towards strengthening partnership and promoting education, officials from the Nigerian Airforce School of Medical Sciences and Aviation Medicine (NAFSMSAM) on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to Franco-British International University (FBIU), Kaduna.

The purpose of the visit was to foster a mutually beneficial relationship between the two institutions, with a view to exploring collaborative opportunities in academic development, professional training, and institutional capacity building.

The delegation was led by Air Commodore R. Abdullahi, the Commandant, NAFSMSAM, who was accompanied by Air Commodore A.M. Ola, Deputy Commandant.

Other members of the team during the visit included Group Captain A.J. Arumona, Registrar NAFSMSAM; Warrant Officer E.V. Elachi; Flying Officer A.M. Bello; and Flying Officer I.J. Abubakar.

The officials were warmly received by Prof. Abdullahi Sabo Muhammad, the Vice Chancellor, Franco-British International University, along with some staff members.

In his welcome address, Prof. Sabo expressed appreciation for the visit and assured the team that the university would be open to any collaborations that would enhance both academic and administrative growth.

He emphasized that the university’s doors remain open to accommodate innovative partnerships, research driven programs, and quality training opportunities to staff and students.

In his remarks, the team leader, Air Commodore R. Abdullahi, stated that the university is lucky to have Prof. Sabo as its Vice Chancellor, describing him as a visionary leader whose experience and commitment are already making a significant difference.

While appreciating the management for the warm reception extended to the team, the Commandant NAFSMSAM assured the university of the needed support in areas of joint programs, manpower development, and knowledge sharing between both institutions.

In his closing remarks, the Registrar of the University, Mr. Agwaza Bemdoo, thanked the delegation for choosing FBIU as a partner in progress and emphasized the institution’s readiness to work closely with NAFSMSAM for the benefit of the larger society.

The officials were later conducted around some of the university’s facilities, including the university library, lecture rooms, and administrative block.

Among other management staff of FBIU during the visit were Dr. Auwalu Lawal Danbuzu, Acting Director, Academic Planning and Quality Assurance; Mal. Abdullahi Ibrahim Mirnga, Acting Dean, Student Affairs; Mal. Ibrahim Jibril Aliyu, Secretary to the Vice Chancellor; among others.
