The Management of Franco- British International University (FBIU) Kaduna, has extended its heartfelt condolences to the parents of a student, Ibrahim Yahaya, who lost his life on Saturday in Kaduna.
The deceased was a student in the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences, pursuing a degree in International Relations.
A statement by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof Abdullahi Sabo, expressed deepest condolences to the parents of the deceased student.
According to the statement, the Management of FBIU, led by the VC, Prof. Sabo, had since paid a condolence visit to the parents in Kaduna.
Prof. Sabo was accompanied by some staff members of FBIU including Mallam Ibrahim Jibril Aliyu, Secretary to the Vice Chancellor, Sufiyan Umar, Sani Ashiru, Abdullahi Ibrahim Mirnga and Nura Muhammad Abubakar, among others.
While condoling the bereaved family, Prof. Sabo described the passing of Ibrahim Yahaya as a monumental loss not only to his immediate family but to the entire university community.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased and admit him into Jannatul Firdaus.
Prof. Sabo also prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the father and the entire family the strength and courage to bear the irreparable loss, adding that every soul shall taste death, as it remains the inevitable end of all mortals.
Responding on behalf of the family, the father of the deceased, Alhaji Yahaya Dio Hussain expressed gratitude to Prof. Gwarzo and the university management for the condolence visit.
He prayed for Allah’s protection and guidance upon the delegation and for their safe return.
During the condolence visit, a special prayer was offered for the deceased.
