FBIU to partner Nigerian Air Force Hospital on Students’ Clinical Postings, others
A delegation from Franco-British International University (FBIU), Kaduna, has on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the 461 Nigerian Air Force Hospital, Kaduna.
The team led by the FBIU President, Prof. Abdullahi Sabo Muhammad, was received by the Commander of the hospital, Air Commodore K.U. Obi, alongside members of the hospital’s management team.
Speaking during the visit, Prof. Sabo said the visit was aimed at strengthening institutional relationships and exploring possible areas of partnership on ckinical training opportunities for students of the University’s health-related programmes.
He explained that the proposed collaboration would provide students with the requisite exposure and experience needed to complement their academic training and prepare them for professional practice.
Responding, the Commander of the 461 Nigerian Air Force Hospital, Air Commodore K.U. Obi, expressed delight over the visit and commended the University for seeking collaboration with the hospital.
“Training students remains critical to producing qualified and competent healthcare professionals capable of meeting the growing healthcare needs of the country,” he said.
He gave the assurance of the hospital’s readiness to provide the necessary support and assistance required by the students during their clinical training as soon as all necessary administrative processes are completed.
In his closing remarks, the Director of Linkages and Collaboration, Malam Umar Alkali Usman, thanked the management of the hospital for the warm reception and expressed optimism that the proposed partnership would yield mutual benefits and contribute to the development of quality healthcare education in Nigeria and beyond.
Members of the delegation from FBIU included the Dean, School of Nursing Sciences, Hajiya Karimatu Muhammad; mal. Ibrahim Aliyu Jibril, the Secretary to the President and Umar Faruk Tukur of the Corporate Communications Unit.
