FBIU Receives HumAngle Foundation on Courtesy Visit, Explores Opportunities for Collaboration
Representatives from the HumAngle Foundation, a media and research-based organisation, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to Franco-British International University (FBIU), Kaduna as part of efforts to strengthen institutional relationships.
The team was received by the President of the University, Prof. Abdullahi Sabo Muhammad, in his office alongside members of the management staff of the university.
Speaking during the visit, the Director of HumAngle Foundation, Angela Umoru David, expressed appreciation to the management of the University for the warm reception accorded them.
She said that the visit aimed at strengthening ties between the Foundation and the university.
She noted that the Foundation is currently implementing a project focused on strengthening community journalism and human rights advocacy in Northern Nigeria.
Mrs. Umoru further explained that the organization conducts training programmes on ethical journalism, conflict-sensitive reporting, peacebuilding and advocacy aimed at promoting informed and resilient communities.
In his remarks, Prof. Sabo Muhammad thanked the delegation for the visit and for sharing insights on the activities and interventions of the Foundation.
He said the university remains committed to academic excellence, innovation and community development through impactful learning and strategic engagements.
He further stated that the institution’s doors remain open for collaborations and partnerships that will contribute to the advancement of education, research and societal progress.
Among other management staff of FBIU present during the visit were the Director of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance, Dr. Auwalu Lawan Danbuzu and Ag. Dean, School of Social and Management Sciences, Malama Rahama Umar Muhammad.
Also present were Director of Human Resource, Malama Farida Sanusi Imam; Ag. Director of Linkages and Collaboration, Umar Faruk Tukur; and Secretary to the President, Malam Ibrahim J. Aliyu.
