FBIU Mourns Passing of Staff, Dr. Bashir Hadi Ashara

The Management of Franco-British International University (FBIU), Kaduna, has expressed deep shock over the sudden death of a seasoned academic, Dr. Bashir Hadi Ashara of the Department of Mass Communication.

Until his death, Dr. Hadi Ashara was a faculty in the School of Social and Management Sciences, where he contributed immensely to teaching, mentorship and academic development in the university.

Dr. Hadi Ashara died on Thursday at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna after a brief illness and was buried in accordance with the Islamic rites.

The funeral prayer for the deceased was conducted at about 1:30pm. at Danfodio Juma’at Mosque, Unguwan Sanusi, Kaduna.

In a condolence message by the President of the University, Prof. Abdullahi Sabo Muhammad, described the deceased as an honest and hardworking scholar who made significant contributions to education, particularly during his tenure as Head of the Mass Communication Department at Kaduna Polytechnic.

“On behalf of the Management of Franco-British International University, Kaduna, I wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife, children, relatives and friends.

“The deceased will continue to be remembered for his invaluable contributions to the development of education and humanity,” Prof. Sabo said.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family the fortitude and courage to bear the great loss.
