The leadership of Franco-British International University (FBIU), Kaduna, on Thursday paid a working visit to Greenfield University, Kaduna, to explore areas of possible collaboration and strengthen institutional partnership.

The delegation was received by the Founder and Pro-Chancellor of Greenfield University, Engr. Chief Simon I. Nwakacha, alongside the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Simon Datung, the Registrar, Malam Bashir Muhammad, and other members of the University’s management.

Speaking during the meeting, Engr. Chief Simon I. Nwakacha, expressed delight over the visit, describing it as a demonstration of the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing quality higher education through collaboration.

He said universities are not merely centres for awarding degrees, but institutions dedicated to knowledge creation, character formation, leadership development and societal transformation.

According to him, institutions of higher learning must continue to work together, share ideas, experiences and best practices that will strengthen their collective capacity to address contemporary challenges facing the education sector.

In his address, the President of Franco-British International University (FBIU), Prof. Abdullahi Sabo Muhammad, conveyed the goodwill message of the Founder and President of the MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, to the management of Greenfield University.

He expressed appreciation to the management of the University for the warm reception accorded to the team.

Prof. Sabo said the visit aimed at building a mutually beneficial relationship that would promote academic excellence, research, innovation and institutional development.

He added that universities should continue to partner, exchange ideas and leverage their respective strengths for the advancement of education and the benefit of humanity.

In his closing remarks, the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Greenfield University, Prof. Simon Datung, reaffirmed the University’s readiness to collaborate with FBIU in areas of mutual interest for the advancement of higher education and the development of Nigeria.

He expressed optimism that the engagement would mark the beginning of a productive and long-lasting partnership between the two institutions.

The delegation was later conducted on a guided tour of the university’s facilities, including the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Laboratory, Science Laboratories, University Library, Basic Electrical and Electronics Hardware Laboratory, Engineering Workshop and lecture rooms, among others.

Those present at the meeting included the Vice President Administration, Mr. Agwaza Bemdoo; Director of Linkages and Collaboration, Malam Umar Alkali Usman; Secretary to the President, Malam Ibrahim Jibril Aliyu; Sani Ashiru of the School of Social and Management Sciences; and the Public Relations Officer, Umar Faruk Tukur.
