Partnership for Progress: FBIU, Youth Assembly to Unite for Youth and Social Development
Officials from the Youth Assembly of Nigeria, Kaduna State Chapter, has paid a courtesy visit to Franco-British International University (FBIU), Kaduna.
Receiving the team at the Vice Chancellor’s office, Prof. Abdullahi Sabo Muhammad, the Vice Chancellor, said the university was happy to receive them and that FBIU is committed to partnering key youth-led initiatives for community development.
According to him, the visit would give the university an opportunity to interface and collaborate with such a vibrant youth driven organization, particularly in areas that promote peace building and social development.
Prof. Sabo called on the Youth Assembly to continue to create awareness among the youths on the dangers of social vices such as drug abuse, political thuggery, and cultism, which hinder national growth.
Earlier, the Team Leader, Rt. Hon. Hassan John, said the team was in the university to establish a working relationship and to seek partnership in educational outreach, capacity-building programs, and youth engagement activities.
While commending the Founder, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, for establishing the university and equipping it with state-of-the-art facilities, Hon. John said such investment in education was a clear sign of commitment to nation building and the empowerment of future leaders.
He expressed appreciation to the Vice Chancellor and the entire management team for the warm reception accorded the team and pledged continued collaboration between the university and the Youth Assembly.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Agwaza Bemdoo thanked the delegation for the visit, adding that the university believes in strategic partnerships that align with its vision of societal transformation through education.
“Learning is a continuous process. If you stop learning, you stop growing; and if you stop growing, you become irrelevant in the face of global progress,” he said.
