MAAUN–AISD Officials paid working visit to Kaduna office

The leadership of the Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) and the African Institute for Solutions and Development (AISD) paid a working visit to the newly allocated AISD office in Franco-British International University (FBIU), Kaduna.

The delegation included the President of MAAUN, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Israr, the Executive Chairman, AISD Board of Trustees, Dr. Audu Liman, the Executive Director, AISD, Dr. Salisu Mohammed, Head of Programmes, Musa Gambo, and the Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator, Isah Garba Bakori.

In his opening remarks, the President of FBIU, Prof. Abdullahi Sabo Muhammad, commended the Founder of MAAUN, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, for his foresight and commitment commitment to academic excellence, research and community development. 

The extension of the MAAUN–AISD office to Kaduna was both timely and strategic, considering research collaboration and national development initiatives, he said.

Speaking at the occasion, the Executive Director of AISD, Dr. Salisu Mohammed stated that the Institute was established to confront pressing societal challenges through research and innovative interventions.

Also speaking, the Executive Chairman of AISD, Dr. Audu Liman, applauded the Founder of the MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, for providing an enabling environment that allows the Institute to function effectively.

 He described AISD as a critical platform for developing practical solutions to the multifaceted challenges confronting communities across Nigeria.

Similarly, his remarks, the President of MAAUN, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Israr, noted the readiness of the Group to support AISD’s mandate, stressing that research-driven development is the core philosophy of the MAAUN Group of Universities.

In his address, the Kaduna state AISD team leader, Malan Ahmed Ndagiman Mohammed assured the management of the Institute’s commitment to productive engagement.

He expressed confidence that the Kaduna office would serve as a catalyst for impactful research, collaboration and solutions that address real societal needs.

The visiting team was later conducted around some of the university’s facilities, including the University Library, software and hardware lab, Science Laboratories, Lecture Rooms.

Other management staff of FBIU present included the Vice President Admin, Mr Agwaza Bemdoo, the Director Human Resource, Hajiya Farida Sanusi Imam, Ag. Dean School of Social and Management Sciences, Malama Rahama Umar Muhammad, among others
