FBIU Visits Alliance Française, explores areas of partnership

The leadership of Franco-British International University, Kaduna (FBIU), led by the President of the University, Prof. Abdullahi Sabo Muhammad, on Monday, 15th December, 2025, paid a familiarization visit to the Alliance Francaise, Kaduna.

Prof. Sabo and his team were received by the Director, Alliance Francaise, Kaduna, Mr. Olivier Lin, alongside other staff of the institution, where the delegation engaged in discussions on the purpose of the visit.

In his address, the President of the University, Prof. Sabo, described the visit as a timely and historic event, noting that it aligns with the vision of the University to strengthen and promote multilingual education.

Prof Sabo stated that the proposed partnership will construct a framework that would enable the teaching and enhancement of the French language for the academic and professional development of FBIU students.

Responding. Mr. Lin commended FBIU for choosing Alliance Française as a partner and expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in the institution as a step in the right direction.

 He also thanked the Founder and President-General of the MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, for his immense contributions to education and human capital development.

Mr. Olivier assured the delegation of Alliance Française’s readiness to support FBIU in all areas and pledged to sign an MoU with FBIU once the necessary processes are completed.

In her closing remarks, the French lecturer, Malama Hafsat Muhammad, commended the institution for its seriousness and commitment to educational services.

She expressed confidence that FBIU students would benefit hugely from the vast experience of the institution once the MoU becomes effective.

During the visit,  the delegation were taken on a tour around the school facilities including, lecture rooms for children and adults, as well as the multipurpose hall currently under construction, which has a seating capacity of over 550 people.

Other members of the delegation from FBIU the Vice president administration, Mr Agwaza Bemdoo,  the Ag. Director linkages and collaboration, Umar Faruk Tukur, Secretary to the president, Mal. Ibrahim Aliyu Jibril, Sani Ashiru, a staff from the university library and Alyasa’a Hassan, the University’s photographer.
