FBIU Holds Freshmen Orientation, Charges New Students on Discipline, Academic Excellence
Franco-British International University (FBIU), Kaduna, has organized a one-day Orientation Programme for newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The event which was held on Thursday, 29th January 2026 at Ali Dauda Hall, was designed to educate the new students on the general operations of the university.
In his welcome address, the President of FBIU, Prof. Abdullahi Sabo Muhammad, welcomed the new students to the university and charged them to take their studies with seriousness.
He also urged them to be good ambassadors of the university wherever they might find themselves as the university has zero tolerance for misconduct.
In his goodwill message, the Founder MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo assured the students of quality education, and other support services to enable them achieve their dreams.
Prof. Gwarzo who was represented by Dr. Muhammad Sani Ado, said FBIU being one of the MAAUN Group of Universities, remains committed to providing quality education for academic excellence.
During the program, presentations were made to acquaint the Freshmen with the general operations of the university including American Education System/ Students Conduct on Campus by the Ag. Vice President Campus Life, Malam Abdullahi Ibrahim Mirnga and Ag. Dean, School of Social and Management Sciences, Malama Rahama Umar Muhammad.
Other presentations were on FBIU Health Services by Hajia Karimatu Abdullahi Muhammad, FBIU Security Tips by Mohammed Yusuf, Ag. Chief Security of the university, and Director ICT, Malam Aminu Ibrahim who made a presentation on the grading system and university portal.
Also the Assistant Commander of Narcotics, NDLEA Kaduna State Command, Muhammad Shu’aibu, Presented a paper on FBIU Zero Tolerance Policy to Drug Abuse while the Team Leader, African Institute for Solutions and Development (AISD), Kaduna State, Malam Ahmed N.
Mohammed highlighted some of the services offered by the Institute in supporting research, innovation, and community-based development initiatives.
Among other principal officers that graced the occasion were the Vice President Administration, Mr. Agwaza Bemdoo, faculty members, and Secretary to the President of the University, Malam Aliyu Ibrahim Jibril.
