FBIU Boosts Digital Infrastructure to Advance Smart Learning, Innovation
The Pioneer Vice-Chancellor of Franco-British International University (FBIU), Kaduna, Professor Abdullahi Sabo Muhammad, has launched an initiative to enhance digital infrastructure and expand reliable internet access for both staff and students.
The project, is a reflection of the VC’s commitment to advancing digital education which was executed under the supervision of the Ag. Director of ICT, Mallam Aminu Ibrahim, and his team members.
The facilities put in place include modern computer sets and accessories, wireless routers, networking devices, and high-speed internet connectivity across academic and administrative buildings.
Speaking after the installation of the facilities, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Muhammad, commended the Founder of the University, prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo for his support and encouragement toward promoting digital transformation within the institution.
He urged the students to make the most of the facilities to acquire the digital and technological skills required for the development and competitiveness of the nation in the global knowledge economy.
In his remarks, the Ag. Director of ICT, Mallam Aminu Ibrahim, emphasized the central role of internet access in modern education.
He pledged to position FBIU as a leading ICT innovation hub within the shortest possible time, adding that several academic activities and training sessions would be conducted virtually to enhance learning flexibility and accessibility.
Also speaking, the Registrar of the University, Mr. Agwaza Bemdoo, appealed to staff and students to ensure the proper use and maintenance of the facilities.
Other staff who accompanied the Vice-Chancellor during the inspection included, Ag. Director Linkages and collaboration, Tukur, Umar Faruk, Secretary to the Vice Chancellor, mal. Ibrahim Jibril Aliyu, and Nura Muhammad Abubakar, among others.
