FBIU Visits College of Agriculture, Mando, to Explore Areas for Partnership

Franco-British International University, Kaduna has on Wednesday, paid a courtesy visit to the College of Agriculture and Animal Science, Mando, Kaduna.

On arrival, the team was warmly received by the Provost of the College, Professor A.M. Wakawa, alongside key members of his management team, including the College Registrar, the Admissions Officer and the College Accountant

Speaking, the team lead, Professor Abdullahi Sabo Muhammad, who’s the Vice Chancellor of FBIU, expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded them.

He noted that the visit was part of the university’s plan to build bridges with institutions of shared vision, particularly those contributing to national development.

Professor Sabo emphasized that collaboration between FBIU and the College of Agriculture, Mando, would not only promote academic synergy, but would provide the students with practical exposure that will empower them to become self-reliant after graduation.

In his remarks, Professor A.M. Wakawa, the Provost of the College, expressed his sincere gratitude to the FBIU delegation for choosing the College as a partner in progress.

He described the visit as timely and visionary, noting that the College welcomes meaningful engagements that align with its mission of training middle-level manpower in agricultural technology.

While giving a brief history of the institution, Professor Wakawa explained that the College of Agriculture, Mando, was established with a clear focus on practical-based agricultural education and has over the years maintained productive linkages with various national and international organizations.

He further stated that the College has the capacity and facilities to accommodate collaborative research, staff exchange programmes, and joint student development initiatives.

In his closing remarks, the Registrar of FBIU, Mr Agwaza Bemdoo, described the visit as timely, particularly at a time when national development agendas are shifting towards agriculture, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

He added that the proposed MoU, if eventually signed, would benefit not only the students but the entire university community.

In attendance were Dr. Auwalu Lawan Dan Buzu, Ag. Director Academic Planning and Quality Assurance, Mal. Abdullahi Ibrahim Miringa, Ag. Dean Students Affairs, Malama Rahman Umar Muhammad, Ag Dean Faculty of Social and Management Sciences, and Mal. Ibrahim Jibril Aliyu, among others.
