The Bachelor of Nursing Science program at FBIU aims to provide comprehensive, holistic education that emphasizes health promotion, maintenance, and restoration. The program endeavors to elevate the professional academic standards of nursing, equipping students to tackle global health challenges and take on leadership roles. Our graduates are prepared to offer high-quality, culturally-sensitive care to individuals, families, and communities, both nationally and internationally. The program encourages lifelong learning, nurtures administrative and research skills, and paves the way for postgraduate studies and academic careers in nursing.

Entry Requirements

Entry into 100 Level
Candidate must
- pass Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) with minimum required points in Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Use of English.
- pass FBIU Screening/Post UTME.
- have Credit level in 5 subjects (English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics), the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) or together with an appropriate pass in the Joint Admission & Matriculation Board (JAMB) Examination, at not more than two (2) sittings.
200 Level Direct Entry

Candidates for Direct Entry into 200 Level are exempted from the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The candidates are in the following categories:

– Candidates who have satisfied the Senior Secondary School Certificate requirement for admission into this University (i.e. five credits passes as stated in “A” above; and who in addition obtain passes in at least two science subjects (Biology/Zoology, Chemistry or Physics) at Advanced Level – General Certificate of Education (GCE), or Higher School Certificate (HSC), Principal Level Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Examination, or any other equivalent examination approved by the Senate of the FRANCO-BRITISH INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY, KADUNA (FBIU).

– Candidates who are holders of the Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Midwife (RM) Diploma from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria with pass at credit level in five subjects at ‘O’ level which must include English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in not more than two sittings.

Transfer to the BNSc. program (Intra/Inter University)

This is applicable for candidates that satisfy entry level and direct entry level above and other regulations of the University as reviewed from time to time.
